The Raco del Pi is a unique little hotel tucked away on a charming small street in the Gothic Quarter, simply a superb location. Enjoy a high level of personal service only a small hotel like this can offer, with 37 rooms they can't offer a great range of facilities but this is more than compensated by the helpful and friendly service.

Excellent modern designer hotel with an ideal central location next to the Ramblas and Plaza Catalunya. Rooms are very modern, stylish with unique designer touches. While rooms might not be big by international standards, they are bigger than most in Barcelona. High standards of service and decor put the Jazz hotel at the top of its category.

A delightful hotel on a quiet pedestrian street in a very central Gothic Quarter location. It is rare to get a hotel which is both central and quiet so light sleepers should consider this one. Rooms are on the small side but this is normal for Barcelona. The breakfast is a hot and cold buffet with a good selection high quality ingredients.

The Regencia Colon is a great little three star in the Gothic Quarter opposite the Cathedral. Its a fabulous city centre location. It is owned by its near neighbour the four star hotel Colon, with the high standard of customer feedback on the Regencia Colon you can't help feeling some of the four star has rubbed off onto this hotel. Read customer feedback as the Regencia is an over performer.

A real favourite with many of our visitors to Barcelona, the Albinoni has a bit of everything...comfort, service and location. This well designed comfortable hotel is only 100 metres off Plaza Catalunya and the Ramblas. On low season dates the hotel offers excellent value for its standard and location, but can be relatively expensive in high season.

The Montblanc is one of the most popular three star hotels in the centre of Barcelona, why ? It has a fantastic central location, clean modern rooms and helpful friendly staff. As a rule it offers good value throughout the year, in summer you can cool off in the small outdoor pool.

A really popular hotel on Plaza Catalunya, less than a minute's walk to the Ramblas and Gothic Quarter. Despite it's generally small rooms, this hotel still manages to keep it's guests very happy. The service and breakfast are very well presented.

A small friendly 3 star hotel just 3 minutes walk from Plaza Catalunya and the top end of the Ramblas. The Atlantis generally offers very good value for money, it is quite small so do you have to book quite far in advance. It's ideal a for short break where you want to be right in the centre.

Located right on the Ramblas the Citadines Aparthotel offers studio and one bedroom apartments. Great for families or long stays where a kichenette and that little bit of extra space is needed. The quality of the rooms is high and the standard of service very good. Everything is on your door step so you can pop in and out of the hotel during the day.

The Abba Rambla hotel has a modern contemporary feel to it, and offers a high level of service with helpful friendly staff. This is a comfortable, well managed property in a central location, less than 5 minutes walk from the Ramblas. The location may not be suitable for everyone, the area is a little down beat, though practical for those who want a central, clean and comfortable base to explore the city.

A well managed and spotlessly clean hotel with friendly attentive staff and a good location. This is an ideal property to use as a base. Service is of a high standard and the hotel is unusual in that it has quite a few single rooms. The Caledonian has an excellent reputation with our customers.

The Confortel Almirante has benefited greatly from a recent rennovation. It is a very well situated hotel on the edge of the Gothic Quarter, within 10 minutes of the Ramblas, Port or Plaza Catalunya. A good base, with spotless rooms, ideal if you are planning to be out and about most of the time.

The Avinyo hotel is a modern hotel in a funky designer kind of way. It has one of the best city centre, Gothic Quarter and Ramblas locations. Being a new hotel (summer 2007) we feel the jury is still out and reviews are mixed. This said it does somethimes offer great value when it offers low rates.

The Lleo has an excellent location, very central for the Ramblas and Plaza Catalunya. Its a good option for a simple three star, clean and comfortable. Some guests have mentioned noise from the busy road at the front, not so good for light sleepers. Over most dates its good value.

The Gutenberg Aparthotel has a great location just a few minutes from the Ramblas and the port. The accommodation is basic but clean and practical, the in-room kitchenette facilites being very popular. The hotel is best suited to those looking for simple budget accommodation, yet customer feedback is very positive, as staff are friendly and helpful, and standards are maintained.

A busy functional three star hotel located towards the bottom end of the Ramblas. Rooms are a fairly generous size for Barcelona, quite a few have terraces. The Gaudi Hotel receives many customers through personal recommendations and word of mouth, its one of the most popular three star properties in the city centre.

The Ramblas hotel gets a large number of bookings because of its name and its location, in the heart of things, on the Ramblas. Many rooms are either noisy with a good view or internal rooms with no view or window. It is a standard three star hotel and nothing more, the truth is there are usually better value hotels nearby, that said it gets reasonable feeback with some very happy and others rather disappointed.
