Very expensive for what you got - breakfast wasn't included and only one bottle of complimentary water was provided. Top location but very over priced and the rooms had very little natural light

Fabulous location, luxurious and modern decor, elegant rooftop pooldeck scattered with brightly colored daybeds, free internet in business centre furnished with beautiful antiques. You wont want to leave.
Top Tip
Location on Los Ramblas is a short walk from Catalunya Square from where a tour of the city sights on the double decker buses is a must.

Lovely hotel good position.
Food could have been better.
Had no hot water two mornings out of three, was told something wrong in the road men had to dig up. Nothing complimentary offered.

Lots of nice places to visit.

1898 was a fantastic hotel. The staff were attentive, the facilities amazing. It was immaculate. I cannot think of one negative point. This hotel made our stay in Barcelona perfect.
Top Tip
Gaudi park and cathedral. We took a boat trip around the harbour and lots of good tapas resaurants in the Gothic quarter.

Not cheap but very good value. Roof top pool and bar is really excellent. All staff professional courteous and helpful.
Top Tip
Take advantage of the excellent public transport which is very user friendly. As well as the obvious Gaudi attractions the Maritime Museum and Picasso museum are well worth a visit.

Excellent hotel. Well worth the money. The rooftop poolside bar is a must to unwind from sighteeing and to prepare for the evenings entertainment.

Top Tip
must try the restuarants by the harbour and a great tapas around the back of the hotel.
Tour bus is great fun it takes you to all of the places of interest with great commentary the bus is located about 200yds up the Ramblas

This hotel was fantastic. The breakfast was wonderful and the spa was very relaxing. The rooftop bar allowed us to enjoy sunshine and cava in a tranquil setting and the views over Barcelona were magnificent. The barstaff were friendly and attentive. Although expensive the whole experience was excellent.
Top Tip
The open top bus was a very inexpensive way to get round the city and see the wonderful architecture.

The hotel was superb the only thing that spoiled it slightly was that the spa which is located in the basement played music very loudly until 2am and we could here it even though we were on the 4th floor and the windows were double glazed.The reception staff were extremely professional and helpful.
Top Tip
The museum of the history of the city of Barcelona is a must, the roman remains in the museum were spectacular.
Los Caracolles restaurant just off the bottom of Las Ramblas was great but book or be prepared to queue.
