This is officially a “hostal” however don’t let that put you off! All rooms are ensuite, very clean and although basic they are comfortable. For a great location and great value budget accommodation this is ideal. Less than 5 minutes off the Ramblas this small property is well managed with helpful and friendly staff.

Small budget property with excellent service.
Rooms are spotless, most have two separate beds.
Location is fantastic, next to Las Ramblas and the port.
Excellent all round budget property, great value.

The location is just off the Ramblas at the port end. This is an ideal location in the city centre of Barcelona, close to the port, gothic quarter and of course the Ramblas.

Hotel is right at the bottom of La Rambla, by the port... great location ... This hotel was perfectly located close to the port area and a 10 minute walk to the Ramblas... Good Location. Very near the famous street La Ramblas & Port vell... great location for the port and the bottom end of Las Ramblas, tour bus stop only 2 minutes walk,... The hotel was difficult to find at first... hotel is just around the corner from Las Ramblas, there's no need to travel far! ... Good (fairly quiet) location only 10 mins walk from the beach or 5 mins walk to Las Ramblas ...

the cleanliness of the room was outstanding... its clean... air con unit in the room was great very quiet so you could have it on all night ... Choose room 21 for 4 people as there is more room in it than room 13.! ... beds got made every day & cleaned... General Hotel Information

The BCN Port Hostal is a simple new hostal offering room only accommodation in a central location. Recently opened in April 2005, the hostal has a only 20 rooms almost all of which are twin bedded. The rooms have parque flooring and are ensuite with a shower rather than bath tub. The rooms have a reasonable range of facilities, all have their own air conditioning and central heating, as well as personal safe. You will find the rooms clean, simple and functional.

Have booked to stay here again in February 2009.... We were delighted with the hotel... less than happy with the local restaurant the hotel works with for their breakfast... I will definatley be recommending ... BCN port is great little find... it looks nothing from the outside but when you get in its clean and friendly. ... We loved it,... Don't bother with the beackfast option ... Absolutely, great location and very good rooms. ... The hotel is excellent ... excellent budget hotel... Off our group of 14 everyone would recommend this hotel... This is the first hotel review I have written so I must have been impressed.... as good if not better cleanliness, modern, and location as many 3 star places I have been... For the price we paid the hotel offers fantastic value. I will stay here again.... Excellent hostel...

We were delighted with the hotel. Good location. Friendly and helpful staff. We were less than happy with the local restaurant the hotel works with for their breakfast. They weren't open when promised and quite rude when we had a question about our meal vouchers.

we arrived in the early hours of the morning.and buzzed the door..we were not made aware that anyone had responded to us so continued to buzz.this left us not sure if we were at the right place.we eventually gained entry.....this is the only adverse comment I can make the staff were excellent and the cleanliness of the room was outstanding. I will definatley be recommending you to my friends

BCN port is great little find, it looks nothing from the outside but when you get in its clean and friendly. 8 of us stayed in quad rooms which were ideal, and the beds got made every day & cleaned, the manager is very accomodating and let us keep our room on until 730pm as our flight was a late one. It was really quiet at night so you really could sleep all day if you wanted. The air con unit in the room was great very quiet so you could have it on all night seeing ad it was 31 deg, Choose room 21 for 4 people as there is more room in it than room 13.!

Top Tip

Mondos resaurant is great place at the port, overlooking all the boats, it turns into a swish club. Gruru bar off the rambla has great cheesy music for a hen do and you can get drinks for 5 euro if your cheeky. Drinks on the rambla is very expensive we paid 56 euro for 4 drinks and as there were 8 of us we only had one! but they were like triple shots and it is very touristy so I suppose they can charge whatever they like. Tour bus is great but take comfy walking shoes. The beach is not great, more like gravell and kills your feet but there are some great waves!

hard rock cafe at the top of the ramla is an excellent night out and the shopping center on the port is very good
