H10 Montcada Hotel

The H10 Montcada is well situated in Barcelonas Gothic Quarter. Las Ramblas, Plaza Catalunya and Port Vell many outdoor restaurants are all within 7 minutes walk, with the famous Cathedral just across the road. The hotel is on a busy street called Via Laitana, this runs parallel to Las Ramblas and the majority of the Gothic Quarter is sandwiched between these 2 roads. The street is home to shops, hotels and some quite striking municipal buildings. The metro station Jaume 1 is across the road and the main airport is 20 to 25 minutes away by taxi (13 kms).

The rooms are generally small (average in size for Barcelona), they are well decorated with warm and light colours (beige, ochre, cherry wood etc). The bathrooms are have marble floors and wall tiles and plenty of lighting. The facilities in the room are standard for an international 4 star; climate control, Satellite TV, minibar, internet access, personal safe etc. The 87 rooms include 28 doubles, 27 twins, 30 singles and 2 suites. Triples are provided by adding an extra bed to the large twin rooms, these are limited and always on request. The maximum room occupancy is 3.

General Hotel Information

The H10 Montcada is a relatively new hotel housed in a traditional building with 8 floors. Inside the hotel decor is modern, stylish and staff are friendly, attentive and very helpfulfull of advice on what to see and do in the city, as well as some good tips on where to eat. The frontage of the hotel is glass and this leads into a medium sized lobby with the reception on the left and a good-sized seating area on the right, with a small bar at the end. The lobby floor is cream marble and walls are light brown/beige with mirrored columns running up to the ceiling. The seating area in the lobby has large comfortable soft green seats and is a good place to grab a refreshing drink after a long day of sightseeing. The rooms are generally small but very comfortable and well equipped and decorated. Two good features of the hotel are its rooftop terrace and jacuzzi open all year round. The H10 chain have some great little properties in Barcelona and they do go that little bit further to welcome you, most offering a refreshing glass of Cava on arrival/check in. This a stylish and welcoming 4 star hotel with a great location and with only 87 rooms there is opportunity for personal service.
