H10 Raco del Pi Hotel

The H10 Raco Del Pi is located on a charming old side street typical of those found in the very heart of Barcelonas Gothic Quarter. There are plenty of small, unique and interesting shops all around, as well as restaurants, delis and bars. It is 3 minutes walk from Las Ramblas and the Cathedral and no more than 7 minutes from Plaza Catalunya. The many narrow side streets and tall old buildings give a real sense of history and as you wander along you cant help but feel as though you exploring the past. It is great location with most of central Barcelonas offerings accessible on foot. Barcelonas main airport is approximately 13kms away (25 minutes by taxi.) The taxi can take you to directly outside the hotel, but you may have to insist, as most of the Gothic Quarters streets are very narrow. The closest underground station is Liceu (on the Las Ramblas), approximately 3 minutes walk away.

These are medium sized for Barcelona and are well presented and furnished. There are tan brown laminate floors, cream/white walls and good use of rough marble tiles in the bathrooms. The soft furnishings are in navy blue and the rooms are clean and well kept. The Raco Del Pi has a total of 37 rooms, 14 doubles, 20 twins, 5 triples provided by a sofa bed in the twin room) and 3 singles(these only have showers). Maximum room occupancy is 3 adults plus an infant/cot and there are no inter-connecting rooms. Safe deposit boxes are in all rooms. However, as with most hotels in Barcelona, there is a charge of approximately €2 per day for their use.

General Hotel Information

The name "Raco" roughly translated, means small corner/special little place and this is a small hotel with only 37 rooms, offering a personal and warm service. Although the hotel and interior are new (the hotel opened in 2001), the shell of the building is part of Barcelonas historic and artistic heritage. The style of the hotel is modern, due to its recent design, yet its size and location give it a romantic air. The internal courtyard is surrounded by a wall of glass, which forms one side of all the hotels corridors. The interior public spaces are well thought out with drop down lights, dark blues and warm cherry wood colours. Its ideal for couples who are looking for all the modern creature comforts in an intimate setting. This is one of several hotels belonging to the H10 chain and they all seem to be service orientated, professional and welcoming. The Raco Del Pi is very highly regarded and we consistantly recieve very positive feedback about the hotel.
