The Rialto is perfectly located for anyone who wants to be within a short stroll of Las Ramblas, the Gothic Quarter, the Cathedral, Plaza Catalunya and the port (possibly one of the best locations in the centre of Barcelona). The hotel is just 3 minutes off La Rambla and just behind the Cathedral. It is located in a fairly wide street for the Gothic Quarter, so there are plenty of pedestrians strolling around and visiting this area of Barcelona. The immediate area offers plenty to do and see: there is busy but relaxed feel to it. There are fish restaurants, delis, take-aways, bars and cafes all on the same street, as well as the odd clothes shop. It is also a great place to enjoy Barcelona's outdoor dining. Plaza Reial is only 2 minutes' walk away, as are many other little squares with restaurants. The hotel is 3 minutes' walk from metro stations Jaume 1 and Liceu. The main Barcelona airport (El Prat) is approximately 25 minutes by taxi (13 kms). The hotel has an excellent location.

The rooms tend to be on the small side and a little dark, however they are adequately equipped and clean. All the standard 3 star facilities are available, telephone, minibar, TV, safe and air conditioning. The bathrooms have marble tiles and a bath with a shower inside, and a toiletry kit. The Rialto has 197 rooms, comprising 31 doubles, 140 twins, 10 triples, 11 singles and 5 quads. No inter-connecting rooms. Safe deposit boxes are in all rooms.

General Hotel Information

The Rialto offers standard accommodation that is comfortable, clean and efficient. Its ideal location and the large number of rooms mean that it is busy all year round. With over 190 guestrooms, the hotel is great for small groups who all wish to be in the same hotel and are looking for good value right in the centre. The lobby has a glass front and there is a small lounge to the side with two computers offering Internet access. There is a luggage store just to the side of the reception and 3 lifts leading to the maze-like corridors upstairs. Downstairs there is a charming and authentic large breakfast room and restaurant. In general the hotel has parts that are a little worn at the edges, mainly due to its popularity. However the rooms are clean and well kept and its location is simply one the best in Barcelona.
