Rivoli Ramblas Hotel

For those travelers seeking a hotel on Las Ramblas itself the Rivoli Ramblas is ideal, located towards the top end of the Las Ramblas about 3 minutes walk from Plaza Catalunya (where the airport bus stops and starts). Its a great location as you are only a short walk from some of Barcelonas key attractions such as the Liceu Theatre, Barcelona Cathedral and the Gothic Quarter. Las Ramblas itself is a busy pedestrian street and will lead you right down to the port area where you will find a good selection of outdoor fish restaurants. The closest metros are Liceu and Catalunya, both about 3 minutes? walk. A taxi from the airport (El Prat) will take 20-25 minutes and drop you right opposite the hotel.

The rooms are a good size for Barcelona, all modern and well kept. The majority of rooms are carpeted however some have attractive wood parque floors. There are approximately 135 in total comprising 74 twins and doubles, 12 singles, 31 triples (made up with a sofa bed) and 17 suites 17 (9 junior suites and 8 one bedroom suites). Three rooms with disabled facilities and there are 4 sets of interconnecting rooms and 14 non smoking rooms. The hotel has refurbished rooms and these are more modern in design and style with wooded floors.

General Hotel Information

This is a very busy and popular hotel due to it's location and standard. The Rivoli Ramblas is housed in a Modernist building and inside you can expect an interesting mix of art deco and avant-garde. This a pleasant and stylish hotel with a good reputation and a great location. The entrance and lobby are marble with some interesting wall murals and the Blue Moon cocktail bar at the rear. There is a set of stairs leading to the restaurant which serves both Mediterranean and International cuisine. There is a rooftop terrace where you can take lunch and evening meals (seasonal) or just relax with a drink. This is a 4 star hotel with an excellent location, a decent set of facilities and interesting public areas.
