Just stayed there for a couple of nights. Its very 'cool' /modern. THe one fault I would have is no iron in the room and you can't get an iron if you want one. They have a 'pressing service' but that ain't much good if you need your shirt done in a hurry. Ditto no trouser-press in the room.

Great location, very clean. The Metro is very easy to use and the University station is nearby.

We didnt actually stay in this hotel, as when we arrived they had to relocate us due to broken air conditioning. But the staff were very helpful and apologetic and payed for our taxi to get to another hotel which was an upgrade to a 4 star.

Facilities could be better if there was a bar! Toilet light switch was broken so they upgraded us to a superior room with balcony. Traffic is noisy, so ask for a back room if that bothers you. Very handy for the metro as right next to station. Very easy walk to Playa de Catalunya.

Top Tip

If you are going to be there a couple of days buy 10 tickets as they work out slightly cheaper than the price of 6 single tickets.

Rooms were a little noisy due to the traffic on gran via, but we were not overly bothered by this. Walking distance to La Rambla and many of Barcelona's main attractions.

Very modern, minimilist,trendy hotel with very friendly staff, especially Oliver who was incredibly helpful. The hotel lighting was very dim and disco-like in places! So I don't think it would be suitable for older guests, or those with poor vision - not unless they wear a head torch! Breakfast at the hotel was expensive at 12 euros per person, so try the local cafes, and a bikini(local ham and cheese toastie!) Enjoy!

Top Tip

The metro is the best way to get around and there are 2 stops next to the hotel. The blue route on the tourist bus is an excellent trip on your first day as it gives you a real feel for the geography of the city. Food, eating out is very expensive in Barcelona. The local market just off the Ramblas is a wonderful experience - a must for all with a passion for good food and excellent ingredients.

this hotel would only suit young hip things .not us in our sixties. I must say it was a bad choice on my behalf and would probably reccomend it to my son. Very high tec but no basic comfort. decor blk and grey with stripes everywhere and I mean everywhere, no windows in communual areas and dim lighting. I spent as little as poss in the hotel and normally being in the hotel for me , is half the fun of the hols. however , having said that, I am sure the younger generation would like it. I was really disapointed as it was my treat and i thought it would be modern but comfortable. I felt claustraphobic and dizzy most of the time. The girls on reception were far from helpful but the boys were great. No not for me and will never go back.

fab restaurant in the gothic area near the cathedral called senor parellada. 93 310 50 94. Port vell has a boat bar and near it La gavina for fish overlooking the marina .live group lovely spanish guitars. not cheap but worth it.
