We had 3 twin rooms. 1 room was not cleaned at all since the previous guests had left. We had to go into another room. When we run a bath in the new room, the water was completely brown and we have taken a picture for proof. When we returned back to the hotel on Saturday night the receptionist refused to give us our key as they did not believe we were staying at the hotel. We asked for the manager who found the paperwork and gave us the key. Obviously we were furious and the manager then said, I quote 'you have got your key what more do you want'.

Don't stay at this hotel.

I had requested non-smoking, adjacent rooms on a high floor and was given smoking rooms on the first floor which were four rooms apart. Both initial rooms smelled. one of varnish and the other of smoke. we ended up on floor 3 and 4. so not what booked. The location is fantastic at the top of o'connell street. easy access to shops, tourist attractions and restaurants. fantastic location.

We asked for a room at the higher level but hotel couldn't offer one. There was noise from traffic as road was busy.

Guiness tour excellent. Open top bus tours very good.

this hotel has a very good quality reception area and bar restaurant area however the quality of the rooms has alot to be desire . the double bed booked was infact two twin beds pushed together , the bath room fittings were either loose or has large chips out of them . the painting of the room was to a low standard with poor lighting.when i complained and asked for the managers comments to be e mailed to me -this has been ignored . i will not be booking with best wesern hotels again in the future

In our room some repair work had been done, plastering and not finished off.The view from the rooms windows was a lot to be desired.At breakfast you were not given any chose of milk and when I ask for skimmed milk I was told in a very abrubt tone that there was no other milk. I HAD BOOKED WELL IN ADVANCE AND WAS NOT TOLD THAT A PARTY WAS GOING ON NEAR OUR ROOM WHEN WE CHECKED IN.wE WERE KEPT AWAKE UNTILL 1.30AM i COMPLAINED IN THE MORNING AND GOT NO RFESPONSE JUST SORRY. NOT GOOD ENOUGH THEY SHOULD HAVE WARNED US OR MOVED US. THE HOTEL WAS NOT A CHEAP HOTEL AND I WOULD OF EXPECTED BETTER TREATMENT WHICH ON THE REST OFF OUR HOLIDAY IN B&B WE GOT.
