a perfect location (within a short walking distance of major places of interest + shops), very nice hotel and bedroom (original style) and full continental breakfast.
Would definitely go back there if travelling to Dublin again.

Comfortable beds, spacious room, reasonable value for city centre. Nice that reception staff at least are locals. Pretty quiet inside despite busy traffic outside and adjacent fire station. Good central location except no restaurants very close. Tap water tasted awful, enough to spoil a cup of tea.

The Trinity Capital is a good, reasonably priced option. However, the reception staff were extremely unfriendly - not exactly the Irish welcome one would expect!

Temple Bar is a must and Gallagher's Boxty House is great for traditional Irish Fayre.

We were having a weekend away to ourselves and loved this hotel as it was at the other end of the scale from the normal run of the mill child friendly hotel chains we normally use. Beautifully decorated, I loved the colours, DH wasn't so sure! great breakfast and a really relaxed feel. Great location for shopping and Temple Bar. Following on from previous comments - room was very warm but it was just fine for the time of year, would struggle with the heat at milder times of year though. The occasional noise from fire station is quite loud and could be annoying if you are desparate for peace and quiet. Overall I would definitely recommed this hotel and we would definitely stay here ourselves again.

It's been 5 years since our last visit to Dublin so for those of you about to re-visit like us or go for the first time please be prepared for the bar bills! Also on a more disappointing note we found Dublin has become more and more of a cosmopolitan city and has lost its Irish charm, shame. We visited the Guiness storehouse which was great and would recommend you fit this in your trip (but not for those with small children).

Location good - walking distance of Trinity College, Grafton Street, Temple Bar, St Stephens Green ...
Top Tip
Temple Bar very lively, pubs and irish music.
Get one of the hop on hop off bus tours, (we had the green bus) the commentary from the drivers is usually funny and informative, and on two of our buses they were singing as well.

Very warm in rooms and noisy if at front of hotel, ask for a fan and request a room at the back of the hotel.

Great location within easy walking distance to information services, tours, shopping & local attractions. Quiet location it misses all the noise of the temple bar area in the evenings.
