This is a good value basic hotel within walking distance of the main shopping areas and attractions of Glasgow. The bedroom was clean and of good size with basic facilities that was suitable for our needs on a weekend break - where can you get so close to centre for £150 for 3 nights at new year?

The beds were very clean, but there were a number of cobwebs hanging from the ceiling. The shower-unit was grubby and the tiles had not been properly cleaned.
No lift caused problems for one of the party. This however was mentioned on the voucher. There was no license although advertised on both the web and voucher. On arriving at the hotel the receptionist did little to help. We all felt that the hotel needs a major face-lift and should no longer hide behind the name of Rennie_MacIntosh.The decor was not in character, with only the occassional repreduction on display. The breakfast room was adequate but the menu athough reasonably appealing, the quality of food was less than mediocre, however, the young waitress was extremely efficient.
The awards won by this hotel are grossly out of date.It lacked character and looked rundouwn and tired. This would not be a choice I would make in the future.
