Description:
Dalhousie Castle hotel
Major restoration has transformed this 13th Century Castle into a unique hotel and restaurant, offering the luxury of modern day comforts whilst retaining elegant touches of the past. Once inside Dalhousie Castle you will see differing decors. You will find yourself walking from the entrance hall, up the miniature Imperial staircase, across the mezzanine landing known as the Quarterdeck, past the canopied Gothic niche on its further wall, turning right into the Library, complete with its Rococo ceiling, extensive pinnacled Gothic shelving, and a secret bar. The beautifully styled bedrooms at the Castle have emerged after extensive renovation. Decorated in traditional style fabrics of soft fawn, patterned with blue or green fleur de lys. Period style furniture, rugs and carpets all blend to create a rich, warm and luxurious environment. Dining at the Castle is a unique experience. The ancient barrel-vaulted dungeons provide an unusual setting to enjoy the fine, traditional Scottish and classical French castle cuisine, from fresh local produce.
