The hotel is very central and perfect for sightseeing. There was a very extensive range for breakfast. It was presented well and very enjoyable. Transfer from Airport easy via train shuttle. Walked from station to hotel in 15 mins via Planty.

Hotel in good location, just few minutes walk to market square, castle, etc. Bathroom modern, clean and definitely up to UK standards, bedroom good size. Hotel staff helpful and all spoke English. Excellent breakfasts.
Top Tip
Recommend Pod Aniolami restaurant.
Franciscan church and university both worth a visit, both just off market square.
Note - Castle has system where you buy tickets for individual areas you want to see and they only sell a certain number per day, so you could queue up and then not be able to get tickets to certain areas you want. If you do purchase tickets, you are allocated specific time slots which can result in hanging around.

generally - expensive and standards not up to those of the West. But I don't want to be too critical of the Poles considering the difficult times/communism etc and the low wages.
Top Tip
Try Chlopski Jadlo (peasants grub!) restaurants for great country/traditional style food and relaxed surroundings.

A pool at the hotel would be a definate plus. Very near town center with plenty of restraunts around the town square. Ideal for "People Watching" when eating. A lovely place.

We stayed in the Holiday inn for 5 nights. The hotel is ideally located with all amenities within walking distance. Tour operators also operate day trips which collect and drop off at the hotel entrance which is excellent.

Krakow is an amazing city packed full of things to do. I would recommend at least a week there to enjoy all the sights. There are numerous day trips available as well as a number of things to do within the city. The city itself is vibrant and exciting as well as beautiful and the people are very polite and friendly.
