Great short break, bathroom could do with shower curtain fitting, and some noise from revellers making their way home in early hours in our room , but overall a good experience.
Top Tip
Make time to see the Leonardo in museum next door to hotel.

Outstanding - wonderfully positioned right in the old town - next door to 3 museums !! Five minute walk from the Old Square and another 5 minutes to the Wawel. Clean, smart, friendly staff, nice little bar and good (mainly continental style) breakfasts. Thoroughly recommended for those wanting to be "in the middle of things" - but be prepared for a little street noise during the early hours of the morning, because it is on a popular pedestrian route from the station into the old town.
Top Tip
Eat outdoors on the main old town square - we tried 5 or 6 different restaurants and none disppointed at around £50 for 4-persons - but take care choosing wine, the "house"wine was not good at all, and you need to spend at least £15 for a bottle of anything half-decent. If in doubt, drink the local beer ! Visit all the museums - they are wonderful !! Go up to the Wawel a day or two ahead and make reservation to go inside the museum areas with guided tours(Palace, State Rooms, Armoury/Treasury etc). That enhances planning and saves lost time on the day.

An excellent location and an excellent hotel! Just 5 minutes walk to the square. Breakfasts were very good and I honestly can't think of any criticism. We'll definitely use this hotel again if we go back.

As it was a birthday celebratory break, we opted for the salt mine trip instead of Auschwitz. Well worth the visit!

Breakfast could be better. Cold meats, cheeses, egg and good coffee etc, but no daily variety. Also buffet and coffee pot had to keep being replenished as only a small amount at a time was put out. Some guests had to have breakfast in the bar as dining room too small hence the "4" instead of "5" in "facilities". Generally an excellent hotel.

Excellent food in the restaurant about one third down the Ul Florianska on the left. (It's upstairs and possibly called the Florian) Easily recognised by the young women outside in the street suggesting that you eat there. For a trip try Zakopani but the smoked cheese there is an aquired taste! Don't forget the Leonardo in the museum next door. This alone is well worth the visit.

The hotel and staff were excellent in every way - however - the noise level in the early hours, when party goers came out of night clubs and then decended upon MacDonalds cafe opposite, would put me off staying at that hotel, unfortunately. It was so very hot and the windows had to be open all night, air conditioning would certainly be an advantage.

Krakow is a wonderful city and I would certainly recommend many of my friends to visit the city. We attended an opera concert at the Grand Hotel on Sunday evening - it was simply wonderful - I think that was the highlight of our holiday! They are held every Sunday evening - The Orpheus Ensemble and the suprano were professional and absolutely brilliant - one hour of bliss.

After staying in Krokow twice before and being dissappointed with the accom both times, this was hotel was such a fantastic experience. Rooms were well appointed and very spacious. Breakfast was typically Polish but with ceramic pots of thick preserves instead of plastic containers and the meat selection changed daily, they would even cook you soft boiled eggs (never had that before). The bar area was charming and perfect for afternoon coffee or a quiet drink away from the main street. The staff were great and when they realised it was another guests birthday, took the trouble of getting a card and small gift for him. All in all the hotel is excellent. Can't wait to go again
