Murillo Hotel

It enjoys a privileged location, since it is situated in the well-known and popular Santa Cruz Quarter. It can be found on a pedestrian street but nevertheless central street, called Lope de Rueda. Accessing the hotel by car can prove quite tricky but not impossible. The popular Plaza De Los Venerables is half a minute's walk from the hotel, where you’ll find the Venerables Museum and plenty of traditional tapas bars and restaurants. A tapas bar/restaurant is also located across the hotel if you wish to have a quick bite. The Alcazar Palace and the Cathedral are 2 minutes' walk from the hotel. The shopping district, close to Plaza Nueva, can be reached within five minutes. In general, the location of the hotel enables the visitor to be within a short walk to any point of interest. The hotel is surrounded by residential buildings and since it’s not on a main street, guests can relax and enjoy their stay minus the usual traffic noise of the city centre. Furthermore, you have easy access to the Murillo Gardens, where you can enjoy a quiet stroll.

The Murillo Hotel houses 57 guestrooms in total, of which only nine are double matrimonial. Triple rooms are also available, by the addition of an extra bed in the room. Quad Rooms or family rooms aren’t available. The guestrooms are medium in size, with private marble bathrooms (the majority of them with bathtub and shower). They feature white and terracota coloured walls, tiled floors and modern furnishings. All the rooms have windows and some of them have views over the Giralda. In general the rooms are comfortable, clean and well-equipped

General Hotel Information

The Hotel is a 2 star property that has been completely refurbished in 2005. The first owner of the hotel was a painter and an antiques collector and that is evident in the building’s classic and exclusive decoration. You will notice suits of armour, hand-carved furniture and ceilings, as well as Andalucian tilled walls and several antiques. Although the hotel is of traditional style, the rooms are modern and very comfortable. The reception area is small but impressive, reminiscent of a castle and decorated with suits of armour, antique furniture and tiled floors. To the left side of the entrance there’s the seating area, which features an impressive carved wooden ceiling and is furnished with traditional Sevillean, antique furniture. In the reception area you can also find a cold drinks dispenser. The exterior of the hotel is Andalucian in style with yellow and green façade. The staff at the hotel are very friendly, helpful and speak fluent English. This hotel represents excellent value for money, since it’s located in the Santa Cruz Quarter and has reasonable rates. As a hotel it is ideal for couples, small groups and business people, who wish to be in the heart of the city.
